The KurdDAAD scholarship program is run annually. It is aimed at Master’s and doctoral candidates currently studying at KRG universities. While the program is open to all academic disciplines, applications in medicine are limited to non-clinical studies (e.g. public health).

DAAD supports Iraqi students of German language for short and middle term stays at German universities. According to the needs, summer and winter universities or limited research stays can boost the student’s progress.

The DAAD has established the Ibn Khaldun Scholarship Program with the aim of promoting Iraqi humanities and social sciences. Having faced challenges and gained experience in the past two years, DAAD decided to reshape the program format and offer an extended period of preparation.
